I found this great tutorial on using WordPress. The focus of the tutorial is on using WordPress for a church website. But the principles are very useful for those of us who use WordPress to manage a website that does more than serve as a blog.

Keith, Thanks for this link. I am thinking of switching to WordPress as the framework for my oh-so-famous http://www.butzfam.com. I will check this out to learn more. Eric D in our office, who you met, uses wordpress on his site and I liked what I saw. I just did fresh install of Drupal on mine, but I think Drupal, with all it’s flexibility, is a little too cumbersome and complicated for what I need.
I get the RSS feed for your blog now. I am trying out MyYahoo as my RSS reader now. What reader do you use?
I use Google Reader for RSS feeds. I’ve used WordPress for quite a while and really find it does all I need. I have added several plugins to add functionality. Actually, I do not use a WordPress.com free site, but use WordPress software on a hosted site. (I use Dreamhost, others use Bluehost, or something else.)

Very good tutorial. Am building a new blog I want to use as a standard website, so this tutorial will certainly help. I Could use your help (along with other Pastors) though, at a website where they are discussing religion. Need some additional “Prayer Warriors” at this forum where they are putting our faith down.
